Helen Hurd's debut solo release, "Holding the Gun", is out now on all streaming platforms.
Helen Hurd has a BA (Hons), Diploma and Masters Degree in Performance Art. Growing up in London, her first ever summer job was recording vocals for a series of educational CDs at the prestigious CTS Studios in Wembley and has never looked back.
In 2012, she set-up the successful 80s rock functions band, Permageddon, with whom she has toured extensively, including formally closing the Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham Stadium. Helen regularly guests lead vocals with the Swiss-based all-female AC/DC tribute band BACK:N:BLACK, touring all over Europe and supporting the likes of ZZ Top, Suzi Quatro, Nena and Arch Enemy. She has sung with Zeppelin Symphonic at the London Palladium, was part of the original line-up for Women in Rock and has duetted with the international melodic metal band, Eden’s Curse. Helen also writes her own songs, released under the names Helen Hurd, Helen Hurd and Mavericks and Bhase.
